Biography

As of October 2010, I have worked at Trent University with associate professor and researcher Dr. Barry Saville on the model pathogen Ustilago maydis. My role as a research technician is within a larger national project (GeM-FTC: Genomic approaches to mitigating the effects of fungal threats to crops), funded by the Ontario Research Fund.

As lab manager, I enjoy liaising with a variety of Canadian laboratory product and equipment suppliers in order to stay on top of the latest trends in DNA- and RNA-based technologies.
