Overview
The Ontario Cancer Biomarker Network (OCBN) is an Ontario-wide network of biomarker research laboratories, clinicians, pathologists and bioinformaticians dedicated to the rapid and regulatory-compliant development of diagnostic, prognostic and theranostic tools to aid in the identification and treatment of cancer. With headquarters in the world-famous MaRS convergence centre in heart of Toronto’s biomedicial research community, the OCBN provides comprehensive contract biomarker research and laboratory services to industry including a well-provisioned biorepository. The OCBN places a strong emphasis on standardized, validated methods and best research practices. With experienced management, regulatory-compliant processes within state-of-the-art facilities, the OCBN welcomes inquiries from scientists, research institutes and companies interested in using a collaborative model to achieve their research goals.

In addition to its interest in collaborative research programs, OCBN maintains a closely linked consortium of state-of-the-art core laboratories for the conduct of fee-for-service assays available to both academic and industry partners, including assays using mass spectrometry, multiplexed immunoassays, expression arrays and other core technologies .
